School Coupon Book are Available Now
If you have lived in the region for awhile, then you are almost certainly familiar with the Blount County School's Partners for Kids Patron Checkbooks. The little coupon books offers school patrons big discounts at the area's most popular dinning and entertainment locations, as well as retailers and service businesses.
"Parents started calling our school early to see when they can get the new books," stated Jake Jones, principal of Porter Elementary School. "The books really sell themselves."
"For nineteen years, the Patron Checkbooks have been the most popular and community anticipated fundraiser we do," Don Moore, Athletic Director at William Blount High School, stated. "The funds raised from the coupon book sell supports several of our athletic groups."
"The Partners for Kids Patron Checkbook Campaign runs through Thursday, September 20th." Gary Heath, campaign coordinator announced. "We have a traffic book this year. In addition to over seventy "Buy One – Get One Free" discount offers, there is over one hundred dollars worth of totally free items and services. This year's coupon book cover features the smiling faces of the top-selling students of the 2006 project. The books are still only ten dollars each and are available from the participating schools: Alcoa Middle School, Carpenters Elementary School, Carpenters Middle School, Fairview Elementary School, Friendsville Elementary School, Heritage High School, Lanier Elementary School, Maryville Christian School, Montvale Elementary School, Porter Elementary School, Rockford Elementary School, Townsend Elementary School, and William Blount High School.
Funds from this year’s project will be used to purchase computers, software, playground equipment, books for accelerated reading programs, class trips, and many other tools for learning.
